Lee DITMARSEN Obituary

With love and respect, we remember and honor our dear Husband, Father, Brother and Uncle, Lee James Ditmarsen, born August 24, 1963 to Charles and Muriel Ditmarsen of Inver Grove Heights. Lee was born and raised there with a love for wildlife, animals, and his family. With a keen mechanical aptitude, he attended Dunwoody College of Technology after high school and went on to become a Master Electrician during his career. He created his own successful electrical service company that he operated for many years. He eventually went on to become a Lead Electrician at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where he worked for the past 18 years. Lee was an avid hunter, fisherman, and snowmobiler and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed bonfires and hosting family and friend gatherings at his home. He was a fabulous cook and many have enjoyed his masterful prime rib, rib eye steaks, and many wonderful pig roasts. Lee passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, September 15, 2023. He leaves behind his loving wife Katy (Miller) Ditmarsen and son Zachary Andrew Ditmarsen. Also missing him are his sister Cassie (Ditmarsen) Wegner, brother Scott Ditmarsen, and sister-in-law Julie Ditmarsen, along with many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Lee is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Muriel Ditmarsen. He will forever be remembered for his quick wit and love of family and good times. His words and hugs were limited but the sparkle in his eye when he smiled always told us he was happy to see us. Lee is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all.
