Mark JORGENSEN Obituary

Age 67, of Roseville, MN Former CEO and current Chairman of the Board of Impressions, Incorporated of St. Paul, MN. With the heaviest of hearts, we grieve the very tragic and unexpected passing of our beloved Mark Allan Jorgensen on Saturday, January 22, 2022. Mark died while paddleboarding in Maui. He was 67 years old. While we do not yet know the exact cause of his death, we know he died doing one of the many things he loved in the place he loved to be the most. Mark was born on March 8, 1954 in St. Paul, MN. He was the eldest son of Mark Sr. and Evelyn Jorgensen. Growing up in the family business, Mark joined Impressions Incorporated after graduating from Hamline University. He would have celebrated his 50th anniversary with Impressions this summer. Mark was the former CEO and current Chairman of the Board of Impressions, Incorporated, St. Paul, MN. He loved his job, loved his employees and had hoped to remain involved in the business for years to come. Mark was warmhearted, generous, caring, creative and had a personality larger than life. He was gracious and supportive while being truthful and direct. Mark loved being around people and would easily strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Whether he knew someone, or didn't, Mark made people feel special. He had the ability and the willingness to live life based on character, integrity and humility. Mark was passionate about his job and the success of Impressions Incorporated. His number one priority was ensuring the well being of all of the employees at Impressions Incorporated. Mark had many hobbies and interests including history, music, travel, vacationing at his home in Maui and spending weekends at his cabin. He enjoyed all sports and kept active bicycling, boating, golfing, snorkeling and paddleboarding. At one time, he had competed for several years in a curling league. Mark followed professional, college and amateur sports of all kinds. He would travel to see the Masters tournament or attend a Northern League amateur baseball game and would do just about everything in between. In his lifetime, he had attended at least one MLB game in every Major League stadium. Mark treasured the good times with his son, Matt. He also loved spending time with his two grandchildren, Selby and Fern. But what Mark loved most of all was spending time with his beloved life partner, Marlene. He was always the happiest with her by his side. What Mark has given us are the memories. What we had was wonderful and, yes, it ended far too soon. There is a vision of 'down the road' that we believe and when that time comes to join him, he will be waiting. Here's to a life well-lived that touched others in beautiful ways, Mark Allan Jorgensen. Mark is preceded in death by his father, Mark Sr. Survived by the love of his life, Marlene Werner: his son, Matt; his mother, Evelyn; brothers, Mike (Ann) and Mitch (Karen); sister, Deb (Jeff) Obey; Marlene's brothers, Mel (Chris) and Charlie (Jody) and sisters, Shirl (Tom) Daly, Deb (Dan) Traun, Sharon (Chuck Hanna) Werner and Lori (Jake Bakken) Sacchetti; grand children, Selby and Fern Jorgensen; nieces and nephews, and many loving family and friends. We will all miss Mark's love, beautiful smile, cheerfulness, and he will forever remain in our memories. Please join us for a Celebration of Mark's Life from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Midland Hills Country Club, 2001 Fulham St., Roseville, MN. With sadness I just found out about Mark's passing a few days ago from a mutual friend. Mark was not only a consummate leader and professional in his field, but built and maintained customer relationships. It was a pleasure to work with Mark as a 3M business partner for over 15 years. He will be missed by many. 3M still needs more partners like Mark and Impressions.
