Mary ADAMS Obituary

Age 89, of St. Paul Passed away Tues., Dec. 1, 2015. Mary was born in Gilbert, MN. and graduated from the University of Washington. Mary is survived by sons, John and Michael, and granddaughter, Katie. In 1955, Mary and her husband, Woody, established the first Mary Adams clothing store, which grew into a chain across the Twin Cities. There was a private gathering of close friends to honor this pioneering businesswoman.

Hugs to you on the loss of Mary. She was such a great person and had great staff to assist customers. My husband used to go in and they knew what he was looking for. I was always very pleased with their suggestions. That service is gone now.

Mary was a wonderful woman and a huge part of South St. Paul's history. I encourage her family to get on Facebook and go to Conversations of History in South St.Paul to read many wonderful, warm memories of Mary.
