Mary Katherine SOBASKY

Age 83, of Saint Paul, Minnesota Passed away peacefully on Jan. 19, 2024 Welcoming Mary to her Heavenly home are her parents, Herman and Katherine Koran; her former husband Tom Sobasky; and her siblings Robert Koran and Delores Silverstein Astrella. Mary is survived by her devoted sons Don (Kim) and Ken and daughters Barb Nylen and Carol Ney (Jeff); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be deeply missed. She was born in Saint Paul, on February 14, 1941. A 1959 graduate of Mechanic Arts HS, Mary dedicated her career to serving various Minnesota state agencies, retiring from Services for the Blind. Mary worshipped at Saint Thomas More and was a dedicated volunteer, joining various ministries and councils. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8 from 10:00am - 11:00am at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 1093 Summit Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow from 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the same location. A luncheon will be held in the undercroft of the church, downstairs in Saint Ignatius Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's honor may be made to the Animal Humane Society of Minnesota.
