My Dearest Cousin Michael, yes it's been nearly a year and it does and doesn't seem like it all at the same time. Still hurts knowing it may be a while until I get to see you again. Think of you so often and miss you a lot. So many memories and I cherish every one. I love you Mikey!

Mike, I miss you so much! May 12th was a hard day for me. You will always be the brightest shining star in the sky. I feel you always with me. Niki, I think of you everyday. I hope this is not offensive to you as it is hard for me & I need to express to him. Only way for me is to write. You are im my thoughts and prayers always. Funny that you would write an entry a few days before me. I hope the kids are doing well. I found a picture on my cell I didn't know was there. It is Mike at one of the last ball games he played with his brother Kurt. I named it Angel in the outfield. He is in his baseball outfit. I love it and with cherish forever. I am going to send it to your phone. Kind of blurry but if you take your chip to Walgreens & print they can alter the pic for you. Hope you love it as much as I do. I thought maybe Kurt would like to see as well. ASlo his kids. Please take care.

To Nicki,kids,and family, I am so truly sorry for your loss. I went to St. Bernards with Mike and Nicki. We hung out on Rice st. for many years when we were very young. I remember Mikes great smile and wonderful times in our early teens. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Rest in peace Mike.

Nicki, Ben and Jenna, Angela, Kurt and Davie. I'm so sorry you lost Michael. We were not close as adults but I have so many great memories growing up down the alley from him and all the DeSmidts. He was always good to me, my family, and treated me, Eric and Krysty like his younger siblings. I will miss him so much but I'm so lucky that we got to spend our childhood together. He is in all our families' home videos so we will always get to see his smile, kiss his biceps, and tell us how pretty he is. All our love to Michael and his family.
