My memories of Mike and fun filled times are too numerous to note. He was the overseerer of some outlandish times we spent together and always concerned about our behavior and well-being. He was a great, kind friend, for those years during college we were in contact. My last meeting with him was at the airport in Atlanta some 5 years ago. He'll be missed. My sincere condolances to all his family.

Ann and I send our prayers to all the Murphy family. Mike embodied all that was good in the phrase, "Cretin Man" and the title "Marine." We will always treasure the wonderful memories of a great athlete and true gentleman.
