I not only had the honor of knowing Mike but I had the priviledge of dating him in High School. He was the most kind, respectable and by far one of the funniest guys on earth. We remained good friends even though we only saw each other periodically at social events. I only hope that my own daughters will have the same dating experience at some point in their life. Thanks Mike! Once again my sympathies go out to Patty and the girls. It must be comforting to know that you now have your own personal angel watching over the four of you forever.

My family and I were neighborhood customers of Mike's at Pro Pharamacy and we're saddened to have lost one of the people who has been so helpful and kind to us. Together we rolled our eyes at the silly administrative hang-ups that kept good medicine out of our hands. He humanized the business, and I'm sure he will be missed by those who knew and loved him personally. Please accept out sincere regrets and prayers.

To the Spahn and Keys Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. In addition to babysitting for Lori and Molly (Kristy came along after my time), Mike was my first "real" boss when I was a clerk for him at the Grandview Pharmacy. I remember him as such a kind and funny man. (It really wasn't fair to have him as my FIRST boss! There's been nobody like that since.)
Please know that you and your families are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Wishing you God's Blessings and peace to comfort you,
Kate Dech Zigmund

We knew Mike from Pro Pharmacy and he always had a happy greeting and smile. I sometimes asked him questions first before I called the Dr. He will be missed.

Whenever I visited Minnesota I could always count on seeing Mike's friendly face. Amongst all the tears of sorrow on earth today I know that Mike's in heaven making all cry with tears from laughter. Our loss today became heaven's gain for eternity.

I got to know Mike through working in the music store next door to the Pharmacy he worked in. We developed a nice friendship and I truly appreciated his sense of humor and energy. We often had conversations on everything from sports to local politics. I am shocked and sad to hear of his passing and will think of him often. My sincere condolences to his family.
