Dear Nilsen Family: I had the good fortune of being a member of your Boy's Choir as a teenager and want you to know that it was a wonderful experience that has influenced my entire life. There have been few days in my life that I have not been able to draw upon something that I learned while singing and traveling with the Minneapolis Boy's Choir. I cannot imagine my life, had I not had the good fortune to be a member of your choir. Bless you all! I am proud to say that I am still singing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I remember being in Mr. Nilsen's confirmation classes. I remember that the fellowship I felt while being in his classes and what he brought in as a teacher has helped me to know and understand the lord and myself in a better way.
I remember going over to the Nilsen's house and listening to old radio broadcasts of the old radio shows. The one that I remember the most was a ghost story with Vincent Price as the narrator and he was telling a story about a sinking ship and the rats trying flee the ship.

Dear Lorraine and 2nd Cousins Once Removed -
You are in my thoughts and prayers and I know that Cousin Mickey is in heaven with all of our dear ancestors. I am so grateful for the family reunion we had and for all of the great memories of your family.
I will never forget the loving attention he gave our family on the passing of our Mom (his cousin and friend). He stayed with us throughout the entire process even though he was retired.
Mom's memories of her growing up years sparkled with thoughts of your Dad's family.
May the Lord hold all of you in the palm of His hand and surround you with the love of angels during this time.
Love always...

My sincerest Sympathy. Mick will be forever remembered. As a student, I enjoyed Mick's fatherly advice and wisdom and the many conversations over coffee debating funeral philosophy. He was truly a leader in the funeral industry and I enjoyed learning from him very much. His legacy lives on in all the students lives he touched.

Janice was a classmate of mine throughout grade school, middle school and high school. I remember when I first met Mr. Nilsen and thinking what a nice, down to earth man he was. He was always very pleasant whenever I saw him. The city of Richfield won't be the same without Mr. Nilsen.
