Paddy O - We will miss you so much. We golfed together at the Dunes, laughed all the way to the 19th hole over the last few years! God bless you Sandy, you and your family are in our prayers. I will deeply miss Paddy.

Mr. Pat Gallivan I had the pleasure of meeting you as you volunteered your time teaching hundreds of my students at CG Elementary 4th & 5th graders the etiquette and sport of golf. You were a wonderful teacher. We all appreciate the good things you taught us and your humor. My mom Genny Burdette was a waitress at Gallivans for many years. I heard many funny stories. Her, Lorraine, and Bev continued to follow you and your band for many years. Rest in peace. You were a good man and a good friend to so many.

I first met Pat at Gallivan's Restaurant & Bar in downtown St. Paul when he was too young to be behind the bar and I was too young to be in front of it - I knew and loved Pat as a friend and pal many years ago before I moved to CA - we had lots of great times at the old Gallivan's, St Paddy's Day, the train to LaCrosse for Oktoberfest with the Minutemen, St. Paul Winter Carnival & Minneapolis Aquatennial royalty - I have plenty of good memories of him and the Gallivanteers, living and enjoying life in the 60s & 70s - As the Irish blessing goes: "May you be in heaven a full half-hour before the devil knows you're dead" A fond farewell to my old friend.

I was very sad to hear of Pat's passing. I knew Pat first from his days at the Academy. Our paths crossed meeting his friends from California to his days at the liquor store, playing golf with him and of course "The Gallavanters". He was a very special person and will be missed by all those who knew him.

RIP Paddy you were one of a kind. Anyone who spent five minutes with you was your friend forever. You never
forgot a friend and always had their back. I loved your voice message which was a song -"hello my friend, hello..."
which captured your spirit. I'll miss your incredible humor and questionable jokes, indomitable spirit and the best
PMA any Gallivan has ever had. And mostly your loving heart and giving ways. Truly one of a kind. And on top of it all, you showed everyone in the family how brilliant you were for hooking up with your beautiful wife, Sandy.
We will miss you and toast you forever especially on your day, March 17. Deepest sympathy to you, Sandy.

Pat was a fixture in the downtown St. Paul landscape for many years. He was "Mr. Hospitality", always cordial, and had an unusual amount of character about him. He also waxed me pretty thoroughly on the golf course!

The time I knew Pat Gallivan was only a short while, but he is a man I will never forget. Always quick with a smile, kind words, a good joke and never without a clover stitched to his clothes. Sandy, my best wishes and deepest respects to you and your family. He will be missed.

While we knew him for a very short while, he made an indelible mark on us. The friendships we have made as newcomers is largely beacuse Paddy Boy took the time to personally intro us. Our hearts are heavy because of the loss, but better for knowing him! Sandy you have our deep sympathy and prayers.

Sandy-I was sadden to hear of your loss. Pat and I go back to his days at St. Thomas; over 50 years ago. Fond memories for sure. Pat was simply "fun". Always smiling, very generous and charitable and fun to be with. Losing Pat surely has been felt by his many friends in St. Paul. God Bless.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. ~ Irish Blessing

My condolences to you, Sandy. What a fine man Patrick was. I will miss practicing putting on Sunday afternoons at Inver Wood with Paddy. We would reminisce about the days with Andy Roberts, Eddie Webster, his dad, Bob and others. "Those were the days, my friend" as Patrick sang in one of his songs. Patrick showed us how to deal with dying. Patrick was the real thing and I have gratitude for having the good fortune to be one of his many friends.
I will light a candle for you, my friend. Thanks for the memories.

Sandy and Family, You know of course how crushed "Irish" is to lose our Irishman. That great sense of humor was there to the end and we would have expected nothing less. Miss you Paddy !!! My special condolences to you all. Colleen O'Donnell
