Rebecca Louise Swanson

1960 - 2023

Of May Township, Minnesota Passed away on September 21, 2023 at the age of 62 following a valiant battle with cancer. Becky was born December 7, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to the late David and Sharon (Coppin) Johnson of White Bear Lake, MN. Becky graduated from Mariner High School in White Bear Lake in 1978 and from the University of Minnesota School of Pharmacy in 1985. She spent most of her career working at the Forest Lake Snyder's Pharmacy followed by various Target / CVS pharmacies until her retirement in 2020. Watching her son Scott grow into the wonderful young man he has become was the joy of her life. In 2009, Becky met Tim Shade while attending church. They married in 2017. Tim's support of Becky during her medical treatments speaks volumes of his love for her. Knowing they will see each other in Heaven has given them both great comfort. Becky was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by husband Tim Shade; son Scott Swanson; sister Kim (Chang) Cho; brother Steve (Sara) Johnson; nephews Dave and Sam Johnson; the Shade family; and many other relatives and dear friends. Becky's Celebration of Life service will be held October 21st, 2023, 11am at Christ Lutheran Church, 150 5th Street, Marine on St. Croix, MN 55047 with visitation at 10am and a lunch reception following the service. Memorials are preferred to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Coral Reef Alliance.
