Robert TRIER Obituary

Age 82 of Drexel, NC Passed away after his battle with cancer on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Born in St. Paul, MN on May 23, 1939, he was the son of Fern Olson Trierweiler and the late Eloy Trierweiler. Bob attended St. Agnes High School before joining the US Army. He then worked for Control Data Corporation and Allina Health before retiring to North Carolina in 2011. He will be missed. In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna Rae Trier; children, Stephen Trier (Lisa Shortridge), Joseph Trier (Lisa), and Katherine Walker (Michael); twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with more on the way; and brother, Richard Trierweiler (Marilyn). In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by two sons, Mitchell and David Trier. A memorial service for Bob will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645. Sossoman Funeral Home & Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.sossomanfh.com.
