I'm sorry if this seems late or unwelcome. But since Ryan's passing, over the years I have thought about your family and my heart breaks that Ryan left so soon. In my own self interest, I wanted to see what he would become and what change he would have brought to the world. I interacted with him vaguely through the local music scene at Tartan and he was always a bright light of fun. From the depth of my heart I hope your minds have been calmed by the grace of time and hearts filled with love.

We will never forget the time we brought a package of dried octopus from Japan as a joke gift and Ryan not only ate it, he liked it! We always thought highly of his accepting nature and enthusiasm for new cultural experiences. It was a big part of why we always felt so welcome by all the family. He will be greatly missed.

Of course there are no words that ease the pain of such a tremendous loss, but still I send my love and prayers that somehow your pain will subside with time and be replaced by beautiful memories.
We all have our own special memories and recollections of Ryan. Mine begin with the always smiling, chubby cheeked baby who was so excited by every new discovery, he just couldn't seem to sit still. As he grew, his wit and clever observations revealed a deep intelligence and unique view of the world. His artistic gifts seem to be expressed in so many ways and, at least to me, revealed the sensitive young man behind that easy smile.
I love you Ryan. You are missed and will always remain in our hearts.
