Shirley Linstroth Obituary

June 26th Age 61 of Columbia Heights Shirley was a kind, gentle and unassuming woman who made the world a better place, not only for her family but for everyone she touched. Shirley found eternal peace on June 26, 2011, surrounded by her husband, Tom and their four children, Sarah (Blair) Reinhard, Rachel (Tim and grandson, Jack) Maloney, Jesse Linstroth (friend, Becky Carlson) and Martha (Chris) Rohde. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Elsie Mueller and sister, Sharon (Walt) Meyer. Shirley is also survived by her sister, Ruth (Duane) Hoffman; brothers, Dale Mueller and Wayne (Cindy) Mueller. Shirley grew up in the farming community of Deshler, Nebraska and attended a one room school house through eighth grade. Shirley was an accomplished pianist and, at the age of twelve, was the principal organist at the Bethlehem Lutheran church in Kiowa, Nebraska. Shirley earned a degree in Dietetics from St. Catherine University and, after a short stint in the work force, chose to devote her life to her family as a stay-at-home Mom. Shirley provided, without fail, a delicious and nutritious family dinner every day at exactly 5:30 PM. Our family bonded, our bodies were nourished and our souls were nurtured by this daily ritual of Shirley's love. We are humbly grateful for the many selfless sacrifices Shirley made on our behalf. Thanks Mom! A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 29 at the KOZLAK-RADULOVICH FUNERAL CHAPEL (1918 University Avenue NE Minneapolis). A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Shirley's life will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, June 30 at THE CHURCH OF ST. WILLIAM (6120 5th Street NE in Fridley, MN) preceded by a Reviewal beginning at 9 AM in the church vestibule. A luncheon will be served in the church cafeteria after Mass with interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Minneapolis (46th and Chicago Avenue) to follow the luncheon. Memorials received by the Church of St. William will be dedicated to the Loaves & Fishes Fund. www.kozlakradulovich.com "A Celebration of Life" 612-789-8869

To Tom and Family;
We could of not asked for better neighbors than all of you. Shirley always was so nice and a pleasure to talk with and we will miss her. Shirley and Tom have been the type of friends/neighbors that we grew up with and wanted to live next to; kind, caring, humble and freindly.
Tom we will be there for you as long as we call you neighbor--our condolences to you and all of your family
