Sigvart "Sig" FEMRITE

Age 83 Of White Bear Lake Passed away peacefully on December 31, 2018. Preceded in death by parents Nels Sr. and Myrtle Femrite; brother William Rush; and sister Patricia Sullivan. Survived by wife of 53 years, Jan; son Marcus (Annie Little); granddaughter Lake; brother Nels Femrite (Rosemarie); and many nieces and nephews. Graduate of U of M, veteran of the Army, and teacher for 31 years in the Anoka-Hennepin school district. Sig was devoted to his family, had a passion for history and reading, and a love of traveling and the great outdoors, especially at his cabin that he built on White Iron Lake in Ely, MN. He also enjoyed tent and canoe camping in the Boundary Waters, and fishing in Canada and Montana. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Rd., Mahtomedi, MN 55115, at 12 noon on Monday, January 7th, with visitation one hour prior to service.
