I have many great memories thanks to Steve, like the fun times with Kathy and Dan in Hayward and Dillon and especially the time he arranged Superbowl tickets for me. My love, prayers and condolences to all of you. May you always enjoy wonderful memories of the time you had with him. I'll bet he's going to have a great St Patrick's day in Heaven.

So sorry to hear of Chief Conroy's passing. He was the first Chief I worked for at the St. Paul Fire Department. I used to see him at church at Assumption and I would always approach him to see how he was doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you Steve Jr. and all the family. Cindy Mentes

Steve was a close friend of my father Jerry Love for many years. we were partners in a houseboat on the St Croix river for many years and have many good memories of that time.

My father, Richard Haider, Retired Fire Fighter/Paramedic sends his condolences. Steve and my dad were good friends and coworkers, I remember seeing Steve at all the firer fighter family functions. Our prays to your family, you were lucky to have him in your life as long as you have as my family and I have with my father who will turn 90 this April 12th. Salute to these two great men!

Chief Conroy was one of the most progressive Fire Chiefs in the country. It was an honor to be a member of Saint Paul Fire during his years as leader. My sincere sympathy to his family.

Fire Chief Conroy was a great visionary and leader of the Saint Paul Fire Dept. for many years. Many lives have been saved thanks to his leadership. Thank you for being our Fire Chief.

My Prayers are with all the family during this time of sorrow. Steve's Mom and Dad were responsible for bringing my late wife Barbara to this country which resulted in Theresa, Jerry Jr, John, Eileen, Jim and Barbara for which I can be nothing but grateful. Over the years Steve's whole family and ours shared many good times together and lots of great memories.
Rest in Peace Steve, you will be missed.

I remember boating with Steve and my parents on the St. Croix river. We were honored when Steve showed up at my fathers funeral. He was a great man and a great fire chief.
