September 29, 2004

It is always a shock when someone you care about leaves our presence on this earth; It is especially difficult when the absence comes so unexpectedly, so quickly, and without any warning at all. The space in your heart that was so filled with appreciation for the individual (either consciously or subconsciously) can only be repaired with recounted memories --those of good times, of happiness..

I was given the pleasure to work with Steve for the past year, and what stands out to me most in this time of grieving was the wonderful attitude that he carried so fervently. Rarely do we have the chance to be in constant communication with someone who possesses such a wonderful effervescing happiness, and I am thankful to say that I was given that opportunity. I thank the Lord for the chance that I had to work with Steve Ramirez, and while the shock of this terrible ordeal begins to settle, I will not soon forget the generosity and kindness that shone so clearly in his presence.

My condolences to the entire Ramirez family in this time of loss.
