I've mentioned many times what a great and special friend Ted was, and I truly loved this wonderful man. I only want to add that after all this time, I continue to be extremely proud that he was my friend, and never fail to mention this when I get a chance. I know his family still misses him - how lucky you are to be related to that great guy!

One more memory I have of Ted that makes me smile. One day, as we were leaving the gym together, he said he always trades in his Lexus SUV's every few years, and wondered if I wanted to buy it instead of him trading it in. Of course, I would have loved to do that, but it was way out of my price range. I only told him I'd love to own a vehicle that belonged to him, because he was a special friend, but also because I knew he had taken excellent care of this vehicle. But, I had to pass of this nice offer. What a guy, thinking I was in his class and able to drive such a beautiful vehicle. He never thought of himself as anything but an ordinary person. He was exceptional, however, and achieved so much in his lifetime. I miss Ted so much.

As I mentioned in my condolences to his family, after Ted passed away, I was very lucky to be Ted's friend at the gym where we worked out together in Little Canada - Bally's gym. We knew each other for many years, and he was so kind, gracious and humble. To me, living in Roseville most of my life, he was a famous guy in our area, but he would have scoffed at me if I had said that. Ted was exceedingly proud of his family, and as a proud Dad and Grandpa, always showed me pictures of this wonderful family. I know he has to be very much missed, and I will always miss him too. He was so active and energetic that it's difficult for me to really believe he is gone. I was so lucky to have called him friend.

We just head the sad news, so sorry. Our sister lives at CWP just down the hall from Teddy. He was always smiling, happy, and loved the WW2 conversations at the afternoon get togethers. He always got the answers correct when the leader would challenge everyone with questions. Also, he would "puff-up" with pride when anyone would mention his restaurant. What a special man.
Sending our sympathy, Colleen's family

Our condolences to Mrs Wong and the entire family. Our Wong family in Rochester was lucky to know Ted. We enjoyed visiting him at the House of Wong, and enjoyed his frequent visits to Rochester. We were amazed at his energy and skill in running the restaurant and other business. "Uncle Ted" will be missed

My sincere condolence to Mrs. Wong and her family. I cooked for two years for Mr. Wong while I was going to school. He was a great employer and we got along very well. He allowed a work schedule that could fluctuate to meet my school schedule. Over the years we would run into each other both at the restaurant and other places and he always remembered me by name which meant a lot to me. I have wonderful memories of my time working at his restaurant.
May he rest in peace.

I first met Mr Wong at Cherrywood, where my husband was also a resident. He was always walking the hallways, talking to everyone & had that smile on his lips. He always had that famous 'hat'on ! My first encounter was the day my husband entered Cherrywood when Mr Wong asked me if my husband had been in the US Service. I replied, yes, he spent 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. Mr Wong's response was he had been in the 'Infantry' & that was better than any of the other service's. Yes, he was so proud of his service & the Infantry. I send my condolences & prayers to his family.

Ted was a very nice friend of mine when we worked out together at the Bally gym in Little Canada. He was a kind and humble man, and so proud of his family. He shared many pictures of the wonderful cruises he and his wife so enjoyed. Ted even gave me two of his famous pies one day - a thrilling day I'll never forget, not only because he was incredibly kind to share, but also that he remembered what a sweet tooth I had. I was very proud to call him my friend, and I'm saddened to learn of his passing. Sincere sympathies to his special family.
