So sad to hear of his passing. I was Tom's roommate ...6-301 Territorial Hall University of Minnesota. Tom actually had the highest batting average for the Gophers one year as I recall. What a happy, positive person.

To the family and friends of Mr. Epperly..he was my grade school gym teacher...I am saddened to hear about your loss and will send a prayer out. He is now with our Lord and his journey in heaven has begun...Praise to you God..please anjoy the company of Mr. Epperly..he will be missed, but we will see him one day in Heaven.

Cressy,Courtney,Colleen & Steve,
This is the first funeral mass that we have been at that the priest (Fr. Jarvis), was so involed with the participant's. What a beautiful send-off.
We just want to say, what a wonderful day. And the beauty of the mass will be in our hearts forever.
We love you forever!

I felt so sad when I read of Tom's passing in the Tribune today. I knew him during the years when he was doing home improvement. We took our customers to a Twins game and Tom was one of those who attended the event. I jokingly told him I wanted to sit next to him because I wanted a baseball. He caught a foul ball and dropped it in my lap. I still have that baseball and have told the story often. He was slways such a great guy. My sincere sympathy. I was so shocked to read of your passing. Colleen did such a wonderful job keeping people updated on your caring bridge. What a great daughter you have. The kids at GA School Aged Child Care, while at a roller skating outing on Monday, had "Kokomo" played in dedication to Mr. Epperly. He always played the song while they roller skated in gym class. He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Epperly,
I am so sad that you are gone and that we have to say goodbye- but we will meet again!! I know you are in a better place right now and you were loved by so many people that will forever miss you. You have touched more people than most ever do in a lifetime, I am so glad to have known you for as long as I have. I will never forget you and will cherish all the memories I had growing up with you-even down to the blue and white van- that is where you taught Colleen and I that stop signs that have white around the edges are "optional". Good thing we figured that one out!! I love you Mr. E and thank you for everything, you have a beautiful family and will make it through this because of the strength that you have taught them. Tom, I'm really going to miss your smile, sparkle in your eyes and that famous "ROAR". You were a GREAT Brother!!! I'm so happy you were able to go fishing one last time on Saturday; you even caught some fish. I understand you were in "hog heaven".

Dear Epperlys,
You have our deepest sympathies in the loss of Papa Roar. We were so blessed to have had him in our lives, especially Christy. He was the father figure she needed when she lost her own and she was so lucky to have had him in her life. If our Dad was looking down and laughing (and undoubtedly shaking his head) at Christy and Colleen and all of the girls from Heaven, he now has company. We will miss Papa Roar, but we are blessed with our memories of him.

Poppa Roar, you have left a void that we will never be able to fill, but we will find comfort in knowing that you will always be walking beside us.
