Phyllis Fowler Obituary

Phyllis Idella Timothy Fowler, age 67, formerly of Roosevelt, passed away peacefully Fri., Nov. 27, 2009, at Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley, Idaho.
Phyllis was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Roosevelt, the daughter of Lynn and Hazel Campbell Timothy. She was the fifth of nine children. She married Dale Fowler in March of 1966. They later divorced.
Phyllis was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Family was so important to her. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and working in her garden. She enjoyed music, writing, cooking, learning and traveling.
Phyllis was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. She especially loved working with children. She served a Church Education System mission in Mesa, Ariz. in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Leslie (Ken) Harman of Burley, Idaho; her grandchildren, Elder Jeffrey Harman, serving an LDS mission in Oklahoma City, Okla.; Jordan, Krissie, Katie, Zach and Josh Harman of Burley, Idaho; her siblings, Opal (Wayne) Allen of Puyallup, Wash.; Naomi (Chan) Maxfield of Erda, Utah; Weldon (Darlene) Timothy of Pocatello, Idaho; Doug (Marie) Timothy of Grapevine, Texas; Maxine Christensen of Talmage; Lynnette (Dennis) Gulsvig of Seattle, Wash.; Jennette (Bruce) James of Salt Lake City; and Tammy (Kirk) Sullivan of Campbellsville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Newell Christensen; and a nephew, Marty Maxfield.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hullinger Mortuary and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
As a family, we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Kevin Owens and the staff at Cassia Regional Medical Center for their compassion and care provided to Phyllis.
Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial.
