In previous message, I mentioned their dog and cat and their names just came to me: Maggie ( dog) and Princess (cat).

I met Barbara and her now late husband, Jack, back in the early 80's, I believe. They were most welcoming! While they would go away, I was entrusted to care for their dog, cat, lovely home and pool! When their dog passed, Barbara called to, tearfully, let me know. I was so touched as she knew how I also cared about her. Once, while away, Barbara, had some prints in progress. She allowed me to continue processing them. Really! I was blessed not to have let her down. Whew! She shared some of her iris's when my mom passed and I have taken them with me over the years. They finally bloomed in full glory last year and I was able to let her know and then invited to take more later that year. Unfortunately, I never made it there and she moved away. I will have great personal memories of both her and of Jack. Both were assets to the community, their friends and, well, to life being lived.

Our weekends at the coast on "administrative" retreats were wonderful. We would take turns cooking meals. One time Barbara and Jack even went down to the waterfront just to get fresh crab so we could have really great fresh crab quiche. Barb and I were the same age so at almost 90 I won´t be able to drive back to Ukiah for her service but I will be there in spirit.

Barbara was everything in this obituary and more. She was a wonderful soul who could share her enthusiasm for life with anyone interested. She will be missed
