Mike Barker played a giant roll in my life teaching me all he knew at Silverado country club in Napa, ca. Michael was one of the best chefs I ever worked with and he was an awesome person and so proud of his beautiful family.. his daughter and twins boys .. we had much in common as I also had twin boys and a daughter...
He and his wife were the some of the kindest people I´ve ever met.. I also worked for him a short time at the Grist Mill Restaurant near Sonoma and will forever be in his debt as he was truly a marvelous chef and human being.. God Bless and my sincere condolences to his entire family and friends.... I unfortunately lost track of his whereabouts and just saw his obituary as I was doing a search to see if I could find him.... Thankyou Michael and we are so sad to learn of his passing!! He was simply a wonderful person...
God bless and eternal happiness Mike!!

Dear Will, I had prayed for Mike, you and the family each evening since RAM degrees. I can say not a meaningful word to you. I know this since I lost my own son.

What a crazy cousin I remember Mike as. He was always fun. As children I remember staying at Uncle Will and Sharons and playing Barbies with Terri and Mike always popping in with the Boy Scouts. Mike was only 10 months older than me and how much fun we shared together as kids. As we grew older our lives went in different directions. "We grew up!" Married, had kids and moved away. I will always cherish our childhood, and Mike's "enormous smile" He's in heaven now. Fishing with my brothers David and Rick. I'm sure Aunt Marie was there to welcome him and that touches my heart. May the lord comfort you, Aunt Sharon, Uncle Will, Terri, Matt, Mike's children, and the rest of his family and friends. As my sister Susie quoted from Corinthians, "Absent of Body is Present with Jesus." What a blessing.

It has been many years since I have been in contact with Matt but my thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time.

Family,
Absent from the Body means present with the Lord. 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verses 6-8. Those are the words I heard as Mom (Aunt Marie) chose Jesus Christ as her savior. That gave me peace and I pray it brings you peace as well.
I never got the pleasure to know Micheal as an adult, but I can remember him when I was little. I remember a time when my dad (uncle Joe) was coming up to pour some concrete at Aunt Sharon and Uncle Will's house. It was a hot summer day and we stayed the night just me and my dad. I can remember Mike and Terry and how fun it was to be around them. I believe Matt was a little one then and had more energy than all of us! :)
May God bless your family and comfort you in this time.
