Dear Rhonda, Bob and I go back to 1957 we met while both had a interest in Joy Rogers, she went away but we remained friends. We did a lot of crazy things together growing up in North Sac. Bob came back from the service before I did and took my place with the family. When he found out I was coming home from Viet Nam and my family was going to pick me up, Bob wouldn't leave the house unless he was invited also. There is only two guys that I ever considered brothers and that is Bob and Ralph. I am luck that I have so many good memories of Bob, he was a loyal friend.

Dear Rhonda,

I am sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Your brother was a great guy and a friend, and I am glad to have known him. Our time goes back to high school, 1960s. One of the most memorable times was of Bob taking me to DMV when I was 15 ½ to get my driver’s permit. Then, on my 16th birthday, it was Bob who took me to DMV so I could take my driver’s test. He let me drive his 56 Chevy to practice my driving before going to take the test; passed first time thanks to Bob. It was really great of him to do that; I really thought so at the time, and even more so today. I also remember Bob helping my mom get my brother Roger to the hospital. Well, one day my brother had this terrible sore stomach, stayed out of school. The next day my dad was not home, Roger was not better, and my mom was getting worried. She didn’t really have anyone to turn too, and someone suggested she call Bob. Well, I guess he understood that something was not right. He rushed to our house, loaded my brother in the back seat, my mom in the front, and off they went to the hospital. A few hours later they diagnosed my brother with a burst appendix, and into the operating room he went. Doctor told my mom, they got him there just in time and probably saved his life from infection. I know with his ambulance service, Bob has likely saved more lives in his time, but my brother’s may have been his first, and we are forever grateful. God bless your brother.

Dear McADOO Family,

I am sorry for your loss. Bob and I go back about 40 years ago. We were both members of the Sacramento Fire Department Reserve Unit. We fought some major fires together during the 1960'S in Sacramento. He was also a member with the Fruitridge Fire Department as a volunteer. He was a Ambulance attendent for some local ambulances companies. What a wonderful guy to be around. We lost touch with each other over the years. But, I still have many memories of the good times and some interesting conversations. We both had the same interests which made the conversations enjoyable. I will have to look back into my book of photos and see if I can find one of him at any accident scene he might have been at.
Our prayers are with you all during these difficult times. God Bless You All.

It was with deep sadness to learn of Bob's passing. We shared many laughs and good times working together at Mercy Ambulance. I regret that we lost touch over the last few years. I will forever cherish the memories. My prayers are with His family.

Rhonda and Bobby I am sorry for your loss of a Brother and Uncle. We know that Bob was a good man and will be missed by many including myself and my kids. I am grateful for the understanding and compassion that Bob has given me over the many years of knowing him. I remember when I lived in Laytonville as a young child how excited I would be knowing that Bob was coming up from the city to stay the weekend with us. As a young adult, Bob took me in his home through some of my troubling times, and even allowed me back after trying to venture on my own. I always knew that no matter what, I could pick up the phone and call him and he would have an ear to listen and words of encouragement if ever I needed. Bob was more than a decent man and friend to me and he will always have a place in my heart, regardless of, but especially for, all that he has done for me.
