Jerome Kryzer

1938 - 2024

Jerome Lawrence Kryzer, age 85, of Milaca, MN, went home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2024.

Funeral Mass held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia, MN with Father Jerry Schik officiating. Visitation held one hour prior to Mass at Church. Interment in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with the LeMieur Funeral Home of Onamia.

Jerome was born on September 5, 1938, to Christ and Magdalyne Kryzer. He grew up on a farm east of Beroun, MN. He was joined in holy matrimony to Loretta Schoeberl on May 28, 1960. Jerome spent 10 years in the Military. In 1967, Jerome and his family moved to Onamia, where he resided until moving to Milaca in March of 2022. Jerome was District Manager for Northwest LP Gas for 30 years. He was active in many organizations, including Search and Rescue for 44 years, Fire Warden 42 years, Firearm Safety Instructor for 50 years, he taught fire fighting for Anoka and Alexandria Technical College for 8 years. He served as the Onamia Fire Chief for 9 years and on the City Council for 15 years.

Jerome is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loretta; children, Colleen Wild (Terry), David Kryzer (Season); grandchildren, Tom Wild (wife Maggie) and Rob Wild, Emily Massey (Josh), Brennan and Ayla, Kryzer; great-granddaughters Loretta, Julianna, Lucia Wild; great-grandson, Oliver Massey; and his sister, Lorraine Novitzki.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Genevieve.
