Brian Cote Obituary

Brian A. Cote, 58, of Northwood, NH, passed away on August 5, 2025, at Concord Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Manchester, NH, on June 30, 1967, Brian was the youngest son of Henry and Doris Cote. He was raised in Manchester, NH, attended local schools, and graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1985. After high school, he proudly served in the Air Force, stationed at bases in Texas, Nevada, and Germany.

Upon his return to NH, he was employed by his brother, Steven, at Hilltop Fun Center in Somersworth, NH. He then worked in sales at local printing companies before returning to the Fun Center by 1999. He worked hard to provide a fun and inviting atmosphere for generations of local families. In 2014, after years of admiring Steven's leadership, work ethic, and mentorship, Brian purchased Hilltop Fun Center, taking considerable pride in continuing its legacy. Over the years he employed many, many local teenagers and adults with several of them becoming part of his forever Hilltop family.

Brian enjoyed playing golf and loved the Miami Dolphins when they were winning and did his best to love them even when they were losing. Brian enjoyed his yearly vacations and mini get aways as well as casinos and any adventure that included animals. He was a member of the Great North Woods Rotary Club where he enjoyed making new friends and having a positive impact on the local community.

Brian loved his family and cherished time spent with them. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joanna Cote, as well as their pets Frecklebean, Skittles, Charlie Boy, Lexi, and Tommy Boy. He is survived by his siblings Nancy Lievens and brother-in-law Richard, Barbara Mardanes and brother-in-law Tim, Maureen Cote and brother-in-law Richard, Mary Mailhot and brother-in-law Pete, Gary Cote and sister-in-law Rosanne, sister-in-law Suzanne Cote, mother-in-law Nancy Bothwick, and sister-in-law Tina Walton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, and cousins.

Brian was predeceased by his parents, oldest brother Steven Cote, nephew Nicholas Mardanes, and father-in-law William Bothwick Jr.

Throughout the years, Brian touched the lives of family and friends with his outgoing personality, laughter, wisdom, and generosity. Rest peacefully Brian, knowing you are deeply loved and remembered, now and always.

Services for Brian will be on Monday, August 18th at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH. Visitation will be held from 2PM-4PM with a funeral service celebrating Brian's life at 4PM.

Donations may be made in Brian's memory to support an animal charity of your choice.
