Dear John,
Although I had the pleasure of speaking with Ellen on several occasions, I am disappointed that the only time I was in her presence was at Margot's and my 50th wedding celebration. Now I wish the 1 had several zeros after it. Margot and I are sad at your loss but surely believe that she "is home". Our prayers are with you and your loved ones.
Some years ago I penned a short three line poem that I feel is so you and Ellen today.
Une etoile brille dans la nuit...
Je leve mes yeux vers le Ciel et
toute la beaute du monde est a moi.
A star shines in the night.....
I raise my eyes towards Heaven and
all the beauty of the world is mine.
