I was so sad to hear of Joe's passing. He was a bright light in the world and always had a smile and kind word for everyone he met. I loved seeing him when he came into the Backroom - so full of life and happiness. He will be greatly missed. I send my deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to his family. He will surely live on in all of you.

My deepest condolences for your loss. Mr. Poulos was the kindest, most generous man I knew and always made me feel welcomed in his home when I was hanging with Greg (and never let me leave without a full belly). He will be missed by everyone who came in contact with him.

Dear Pauline & Greg,
I was saddened to learn of Joe's passing. Such a nice man and another great neighbor now gone from our old neighborhood of Grove Street in Manchester. I can remember Joe's dad always bringing over dozens of pears from his fruit trees to our house when we were kids.....and then Joe was always "Mister Poulos" to me even after those childhood years had passed. My sincere sympathy to the entire Poulos family.

Dear Pauline, Gregg and your wonderful family,
Losing Joe is losing our hero! This is a man that was honest, loving, so happy to see you with a big smile and hugs to go with it, did everything he could to help anyone that needed it. He was truly a Saint in our minds with all that he did on this earth to effect so many people. We'll always miss Joe for his patience, loving everyone, listening so well and just in general a real "gentleman". So sad to let go of such an amazing person.

Dear Pauline and and Greg, I will always remember the garden in Grove St, the peach and apple trees, the grape vine along with that weeping willow. It was a hit to listen Greg singing Dream along with me. I loved the way Joe use to say the word beautiful and he was all of that. Joe the Golden Greek Rest Easy In Heaven.

Today we lost a very fine man who I would get know through the Puritan Backroom. He and his wife were warm and friendly and we shared conversations and laughter over time. They were welcoming to me over the years. I will miss Joe, and I wish his wife and family peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Mr. Poulos was such a kindhearted man. Every time I saw him he always had a smile on his face. Whether it was at a sporting event or at the Backroom. He was a great supporter of his son Greg and Greg's friends. Even when I was on the opposing team he would always root me on or give me advice on basketball and tennis. There will never be another Mr. Poulos. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Poulos, Greg and the rest of the Poulos family.

Dear Pauline, Greg and family~ I am truly sorry that I am out of state and cannot pay my respects personally, for a wonderful, generous and compassionate man, who I have know for most of my lifetime. I admired his love for his family, his church and his fellow man. He truly was such a role model for everyone to follow. Always a bright smile, a loving hug and a kind word. Joe will be missed by so many, but our lives have been enriched by knowing him. I am sending virtual hugs to you during this difficult time. May God rest Joe's gentle soul amongst the righteous. May He wrap his arms around you and comfort you. May Joe's memory be eternal. With my sympathy, friendship and love

I am heartbroken- Joe Poulos was a true gentleman, a kind soul and a wonderful friend> His kindness and support meant the world. Seeing him, his beautiful wife and his friends- Mr and Mrs kehas at the restaurant were the highlights . Always there with a warm greeting and that smile . I was blessed to know him for over 25 years. My thoughts and prayers go out to Pauline , and to Greg and his family. Greg ,you were one lucky man to have him for a Dad. Your Dad and Mom are proud of you. Be well and remember all those memories. It is said we are just passing time and occupy our chair very briefly. The Time we had with Joe was a gift and we are better off that he occupied his chair so well .
