Gabrielle Drouin Obituary
"Gaby" as she known by her friends, was born in Woonsocket, RI on May 22, 1928 to Francois and Laura (Girouard) Pratte. During her childhood she lived in several towns in New England. After graduating from high school in Lebanon NH, she moved to Manchester to attend Notre Dame de Lourde Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1949. In 1951 she married her sweetheart Elzear "Harry" Drouin. Together they moved to Goffstown where they built a home and raised their children.
Gaby enjoyed camping for many years with her family & friends, traveling with her husband during their retirement and crocheting many afghans for her children, grandson and other family members. She also enjoyed going out regularly with the "Nightingales" her fellow retired RNs.
Gaby is survived by her three daughters Gisele Rubino and her husband Michael of Nashua NH; Elise Drouin of Reading MA and Gloria Drouin and her partner Steve Fournier of Columbia MO; grandson Kendrick Rubino of Parker CO; brother Gaston Pratte of Hudson, NH and many nieces and nephews. Gaby was preceded by her husband Elzear, her twin sister Armelle "Amy" Dion and her brother Paul Pratte.
SERVICES: A burial to be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
