CONCORD, Mass. - Gordon T. Mackey, 47, of Concord died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 22 years of Donna M. (St. Laurent) Mackey.Born in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada, on June 25, 1968, he was the son of Nancy (Giroux) Mackey of Pembroke, Ontario, and the late Dennis Mackey.He attended schools in Pembroke and was a graduate of Champlain High School. He later received a bachelor's degree from McGill University in Montreal and a master's in journalism from Northeastern University in Boston.For the past two years, Mr. Mackey was employed at Spencer Stuart Co. in Boston. He had formerly worked at Heidrick & Struggles Inc., also in Boston.A Concord resident since 2011, he was a former resident of Arlington.He was a kind, loving father to his three children and enjoyed being involved in their activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his adventurous dog Hunter.He was the devoted father of Laura Elizabeth Mackey, Erin Olivia Mackey and Benjamin Truman Mackey, all of Concord. He also leaves a sister, Jennifer Ciavaglia, and her husband, Matthew, of Winchester, Ontario; a brother, Michael Mackey, and his wife, Megan Lafreniere, of Ottawa, Ontario; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Dianne St. Laurent of Manchester, N.H.; his brothers-in-law, David St. Laurent of Goffstown, N.H., and Michael St. Laurent and his wife, Kim, of Manchester, N.H.; and by several nieces and nephews..

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held Friday, Jan. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford St., Concord, Mass.A funeral Mass will be Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord, Mass.Donations in his memory may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada, (www.kidney.ca).For information and an online guestbook, please visit www.?deefuneralhome.com.

So sorry to hear about my old friend. I stll can't believe it. Gord was a great guy, terrific sense of humour. I miss him, even though I haven't seen him in years. Will always fondly remember our trips out west, up to the Yukon and Alaska many years back, tree planting, and visits to Boston. Profound condolences to Donna and the kids and to Gordon's mom and family.

Please accept my most deepest sympathies on the passing of Gordon. A now recall some very distant memories with Gordon. Playing in the autumn leaves at a very early age. I remember the many ball hockey games on Nancy Street. Most importantly I remember Gordon as a kind and good person.
