BEDFORD -- Jacqueline M. Hunter, 54, died Aug. 31, 2008, at Catholic Medical Center, Manchester.
She was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Brighton, Mass., to George and Rosemarie (Lane) de Mars. She was a resident of Bedford since 1986. Previously, she lived in Holden, Mass.
Ms. Hunter was a special education teacher for Litchfield Middle School. She loved children and animals.
In additon to her father, the family includes two sons, Matthew Tavares, of Winooski, Vt., and Daniel Tavares of Bedford; two brothers, Paul J. de Mars of Manchester, Andrew L. de Mars of Alexandria, Va; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by her sister, Michele Banas, and her mother, Rosemarie (Lane) de Mars.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., corner of Union, Manchester. A memorial service is Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Covenant Church, 1 Covenant Way, Bedford.
