I just learned of the loss of Jeremy. I am still surprised and saddened to hear of his passing. Jeremy was my next-door neighbor and classmate at Yale. Nearly every Saturday for two years, Jeremy convinced me to rise early (a difficult feat for a college student) and spend the morning with him to drive out of New Haven to purchase supplies for the Jonathan Edwards College Buttery, the late night cafe that he managed for several years strictly as a labor of love. As anyone who knows him better than I will say, his greater passion and talent was music. Jeremy had the rare privilege of operating the famous carillon atop Yale's Harkness Tower, on which he played classical and popular songs for all of the campus to enjoy. Indeed, I was only able to see the Carillon first hand and learn of how it operated through Jeremy. From my communications with Jeremy in recent years, I know that over the past decade, he has struggled with challenges that few of us could face. Jeremy's resilience, optimism, empathy and creativity in the face of great difficulty brightened the world. Jeremy, your absence is a loss to us all. You will be missed!

Jeremy was a "second son" to Carol & I. Monica & George we share your sorrow, and hope your family will remember how talented and funny he was. He'd come over to watch TV and play game until the wee hours of the night and bringing a Super Market's worth of snacks for Ben and him.
