Jillian Nelson Obituary

HOOKSETT - Jillian Mckenna Nelson, 16, of Hooksett, passed away at Boston Medical Center on Sept. 20, 2016, as a result of injuries sustained from a pedestrian and automobile accident in Hooksett on Sept. 11.
Jillian was born in Manchester on Aug. 9, 2000, the daughter of Richard Nelson and Alison (Schulte) Willneff. She was a junior at Pinkerton Academy. She was very active at St. Catherine of Sienna parish, volunteering with the CCD Program and the Youth Group. The school library was her second home, where she was a library aide, shelving books, engaging in or creating other activities. She enjoyed reading and writing, sometimes staying late at school to work on writing a novel. She was kind, patient and generous, always thinking of others. She brought out the best in everyone, befriending all those she met, especially her shier and quirkier peers. Jillian was very proud to be an outspoken advocate of equality, diversity and acceptance. It was Jillian's wish before she passed away to be an organ donor to help others in need. It is estimated that her donations will help over 100 people.
Family members include her mother and step-father, Alison and Michael Willneff of Hooksett; her father, Richard ""Chuck"" Nelson of Manchester; three brothers, Samuel Nelson and her twin brothers, Charles Nelson and Bennett Nelson, all of Hooksett; her maternal grandmother, Elizabeth ""Chickie"" Schulte of Hooksett; her paternal grandmother, Margaret ""Peggy"" Nelson of Greenland; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. in St. Catherine Church. Graveside committal services will follow in Heads Cemetery in Hooksett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Equality Healthcare, 38 South Main St., Concord, NH 03301. Every single day, I miss you so, so much. Your memory has sincerely never faded in my or the hearts of your friends. We all miss you dearly and everything you fought for and believed in, even in small ways you really did help the world. I hope you're resting so happily now.

I knew Jill through church, there hasn't been a day that i haven't thought of her. She was extremely friendly and outgoing, we quickly became friends. It's different now, I'll never forget the days we altar served together.

I think about Jillian a lot. I know it's been a few months but it never goes away. She was such a kind person and is greatly missed. I miss hearing her laugh and telling stupid jokes with her and other friends. May she rest in peace

I knew Jillian But only through mutual friends. I have personally talked to her maybe once or twice I can't possibly know what this horrific loss is like for Jillian's parents. I know what is like to lose a love one who was a beautiful person. In the short time I knew Jillian I observed what a beautiful person she was and how caring and kind she was. She was completely selfless she did everything she could to make the world a more beautiful place.

We did not know her personally but had been told about Jillian. Our Adoration Group at St Catherine of Siena prayed deeply for her. We prayed to Our Lord to do what He thought best. We also prayed for her dear loving family. Remember God is good always. Now she is with the heavenly host. God bless all her family and may He give you all peace.

I had the great fortune of being one of Jillian's Religious Education teachers. She was such a bright, lovely girl. I loved having her in my class. The world was a better place with her in it. She will be missed.

Christine and I are very sorry. All too often, our words cannot heal the hurt that others face, but please know that Jillian and your family remain in our prayers. Sacred Scripture makes it clear that the resurrection is God's promise to those who trust in God, hope in this promise, and love God and our neighbor. We are assured of this promise.

May God Bless You with Peace,

Deacon Ed and Christine Munz

I was very pleased to meet this young lady, Jillian, September 10th , at my granddaughter, Samantha's sweet 16 party. I thought her to be very friendly, bubbly, even, & she sure put a smile on Sam's & many other faces that attended, even my grandson's. She was the life of the party & full of sunshine all day. I am SOOO sorry I will never see her again to experience her jubilant way. God Bless all her family-you had an angel on earth before she was called to be one in heaven. My sincere condolences.
