John Dagher Obituary
MANCHESTER -- John E. Dagher, 22, died March 9, 2009, at Elliot Hospital, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, Nov. 2, 1986, to Elias and Linda (Ensier) Dagher and has resided in Manchester since age one.
He was educated in the local school system at Highland-Goffe's Falls School, Southside Middle School and graduated from Manchester Memorial High School. He was currently enrolled as a senior at Plymouth State University and was due to graduate this spring. It was his intention to continue his studies as he pursued a career as a pharmacist.
He was an avid fan and participant in all sports and was known by his many friends as a loveable and caring guy. He was a member of Our Lady of Cedars Melkite Church.
Family members include his parents, Elias and Linda Dagher of Manchester; a brother, George Dagher of Manchester; several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in McHugh Funeral Home, 483 Beech St., corner of Hanover Street. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Cedars Melkite Church, corner of Calef Road and Mitchell Street. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Cedars Church, 140 Mitchell St., Manchester 03103.

Words cannot express my deepest sympathies during this time... I had the pleasure of meeting John for the first time in Plymouth, and for every day for the past 5 months up until the morning of that horrific Sunday afternoon he made me laugh, smile, and feel so special.. and that was one of his gifts; he made everyone feel so good even during tough times. I have never, EVER met someone with the amazing spark he had for life; his charisma and wonderful love he had for his family and friends... John... I only knew oyu for a short time but your personality left quite a mark on me, man. You were one of a kind, and the world is at a loss with your passing. You will forever live on in my memories.
To the Dagher family and his close friends, i wish to send my condolences. Losing a loved one is not easy, but he is watching all of you from the afterlife. His memory will live on in the stories we tell and the memories have from our time with him.

Though I did not know John, when hearing of the news he was a relative of the Dagher family shocked me. Knowing the Dagher family from my teenage years I know how close the family is and they will overcome this sad tragedy. He will always be here in spirit.

Linda, Elias and Ju Ju, Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for your loss of Johnny. I remember both of the boys all those years ago when you first moved next door to us @ Beech Hill. I can still hear them playing in the closet on Sunday morning through those paper thin walls we shared for more than 12 years. I knew John as I worked with him in the pharmacy. He was able to leave a lasting impression on people after the briefest of encounters. I have lived at Beech Hill for 10yrs and used to see your son often, he was a good kid. I new he was doing good things with his life.I would see him at osco,riteaid all the time,he always had a nice smile on his face. To the Dagher family, I was blessed enough to have known John and I have to say, he was one of the most sincere, charming, and brightest young men I have ever met. I was his hairdresser up here at school and I got to know him pretty well. He loved his family very much and knew that he was loved also. I know you are proud of him as was I... Johnny is loved and missed so very much. This is a tragedy larger than anyone could ever imagine. Our hearts bleed to his family. There is no worse heartache than seeing a mother and father who has just lost a child. Brother JuJu not only lost his brother but his best friend, the two were an inseperable pair. Johnny was due to graduate college in two months with a masters and also share our wedding day with us as a groomsman in 6 months. But he'll still be there in spirit.

My heart goes out to you all for this tragic loss. Johnny was such a good person. I can still picture him coming to my door when he was a little boy and asking me if he could come in and play with my kids. And then to see him grow into a fine young man.
