Joyce's remaining siblings, brother Fred and wife Florence Huebner, Garner, NC, have three children, and sister, Barbara, has two daughters. Joyce married Walter Allison Farnham on August 6, 1955. Walter died on November 25, 1987 in Laconia, NH.

Joyce attended Shore Road Academy, Brooklyn, NY, later moving from Brooklyn to Mahwah, NJ. She attended Fornachon Hall, Ridgewood, NJ, and graduated from Ramsey High School, Ramsey, NJ, and The Academy of Floral Design in New York City. She opened her own flower shop in 1945 in Mahwah, NJ, called Joyce Flowers; then another shop in Suffern, NY. When she and Walter married, they lived in New City, NY. They purchased an existing floral shop in Ramsey named Peters Florist and then moved to Ramsey, NJ, residing at 29 N. Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey, NJ, eventually enlarging both the store and their home, added a gift shop and a monument business naming them Peters Flowers & Gifts, Inc. and Ramapo Memorial Company.

Joyce and Walter had five children: Constance May Farnham, Mahwah, NJ; Holly Marie Tartaglione, married to David J., Park, Ridge, NJ; Laurel Anita Kruse, married to Kevin C., Pennington, NJ; Judith Margaret Kelly, married to John M., Naples, FL; and Richard Allison Farnham, Midland Park, NJ. Joyce had five grandchildren, Paul Michael Walker, Conner Walter Kruse, Cassidy Mae Glaner, Emily Marie Glaner and Garrett Howard Kruse. Joyce had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Domenic.

Joyce enjoyed flowers, gardenias, lily of the valley, violets; raspberries; dark chocolate; lobster; traveling with her children; cooking; herb gardens; needlepointing; making Christmas stockings and ornaments for each of her five children, five grandchildren and their loved ones; crossword puzzles; reading books; listening to many artists, Kay Kyser, Frankie Carle, but mainly Michael Buble, "Mikie," her favorite, seeing him in concert over five times; the New England Patriots, Tom and football; Boston Red Sox baseball, Big Papi; the NY Rangers, hockey games; and all her lovely friends throughout NJ, Florida, and NH. Joyce fondly said - "You will never walk alone, I am here with you." She always brought Joy!

Joyce belonged to many organizations, including the Ramsey Women's Club, NJFWC; the Girl Scouts; First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, NJ and Bonita Springs, FL; Needlenutts of Meredith, NH; Red Hat Society; Heisey Heritage Society. I remember the beautiful Mum corsages we always got from your mom's place for the Thanksgiving football games (Majorettes and Color Guard). Walking into the store was like sensory overload with the scents and colors and shapes. Rest in peace Mrs Farnham.
