Dear Diane,
I am so sorry for your loss. I only now learned of Marc´s passing. We served together in the ADP shop on the USS Fulton. I was feeling nostalgic and I was trying to find Marc and Dave Ferrebee. Two of my favorite people from my time in the Navy. I remember Marc fondly in particular his sense of humor and quick wit. I´ll never forget the ride he gave me in his MG Midget while the Fulton was in the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Something about making a u turn at 35mph causes your memory never to forget. I´m sure he lived a blessed life and I regret never reconnecting with him.
My deepest sympathies,
Stephen Pickering

Marc started with DEC in the late 70s when were both In-House Field Service Engineers supporting the PDP-11 Software development lab on ML5-5. He was a Navy Vet and I was Air Force we would often swap stories about our time in the military. Marc was abord a Submarine Tender that was equipped with machine shops that could produce just about anything. Most places in the military used to like to prank the newbies and the best story Marc ever told me was that new guys invariably ask if they get mail while at sea. They told them Yes! (they did not) and they built a fake duty roster for Mail Bouy Watch. Eventually they put the new guys name on the list. They had built a harness, a helmet and a long pole they took the guy out near the bow of the ship lashed his harness to the bulk head, strapped on his helmet and gave him a long pole with instructions when he saw the bouy with the flashing light to be ready to grab the mail bag with the hook on the end of the pole. They left him out there for a couple of hours until the "Chief of the Boat" came buy and asked him "Son what are you doing" and the sailor proudly announced "I'm the Mail Bouy Watch!". If you are not laughing it's because you never heard Marc tell the story. I haven't seen Marc in a long time but I am still sad that I am not going to bump into him some day and we can swap some more stories. I have lost too many DEC friends the last few years.

Dear Dianne and Gagnon family,
Adrienne and I are saddened to hear of Marc's passing. Marc was a great guy and if we had not moved, we would have spent more time together. That was 33 years ago. I enjoyed sharing his Christmas turkey story many times. We will remember him in our prayers. Please know that we are thinking of you in this time of sorrow.

RIP Marc
Marc and I went to school together from Grade 1 at the Hooksett Village School through to the 1969 graduating class at Bishop Bradley High School. He was a great classmate the entire time and an all around good guy.

Marc and I were among the 200+ in our Bradley H.S. class. He can easily be remembered as someone who would make any place a nice place to be. It was a pleasure to have seen him at a reunion in 2019; still the same very nice person. Looking back at what high school taught or shared, there was a terrible omission: information about each other, resulting in a delay too long learning about the magnificent French-Canadian Families such as your beautiful big family. I honor Marc and your family.

Marc and I worked together and were friends for many years. He was my mentor in computers, fly fishing, and camping, I was originally a city boy. When Marc began teaching my to fly fish and we started camping together he often said " You will not remember the fish you caught as much as the places fishing will take you". We fished all over northern New Hampshire, Maine, and a bit in Canada. He was mistaken about one thing, what I remember and miss the most about those times is the friend I shared those adventures with, he is deeply missed by me and many others.
