So sad to hear about his passing, I was a neighbor of this very private and quiet man. Always waved and smiled in passing. I will share a story that shows how caring he was-About 9 or 10 years ago my puppy got away from me and was running thru the neighbors yard and approaching the street. I was so scared she would be hit by a car, when Mr. Douglas was driving up the street and saw her happily running away from me-he stopped and opened his car door and she hopped in. I was so grateful for his kindness-my little Callie made a friend and I will never forget this small act of kindness. God bless and sorry we lost our neighbor.
