Raymond Hammer Obituary

Raymond Hammer, Jr., 92, of Fremont, NH passed away on Tuesday, October 8th at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. He grew up in Lawrence, MA the son of the late Alice and Raymond Hammer.

Ray graduated from Lawrence High School and attended Lowell Technological Institute. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Ray was a draftsman with Textron for 32 years. Ray was a member of the Danville Baptist Church, a member of the Merrimack Valley Scottish Rite, the Lawrence United Lodge, a member and Past Master of the Grecian Lodge, a member of the Merrimack Valley Daylight Lodge and a member and Past President of the Merrimack Valley High 12.

Ray will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 69 years, Anne Hammer of Fremont, NH; his 3 children, Raelene Diamontopoulos of Fremont, NH, Raymond Scott Hammer and wife Melinda of Dallas, TX and Susan Bartunek and husband Alan of Londonderry, NH; his 6 grandchildren, Meghan and Robert Adams, Andrew Diamontopoulos, Meredith and Jonathan Allen, Margaret Hammer, Jesse and Rachel Bartunek and Adam and Sally Bartunek and his 5 great grandchildren, Natalie and Vanessa Adams, Lucy Allen and Finn and Elie Bartunek.

Services were held at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
