Fran, I was shocked to learn of Bob's death. The last time I saw him he gave me what for as usual. I will miss our roundly jibes at the Board Meetings. He will be missed by our community. Otis Perry

Dear Fran,

We, too, will miss Bob and his humor and his love of having the Christmas party at your home. We are just glad that he is no longer suffering as he did his last few weeks. Hopefully, your family, your St Thomas family and your work family will help fill the big void left by Bob's absence.

Love and hugs,
Bobbi & Floyd Beavers

Dear Mrs. Whiting, Sue, Kathy & Alison & all your beautiful families,

We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Whiting was a heavy presence in my life as a teenager and I enjoyed bumping into him many times around Dover. He only had kind words to say about his daughters and giving us family updates. He will be greatly missed.

Peace, Love & Light

A true gentleman and the world and Dover is a better place because of him. For the 18 years we lived on Locust Street he was a great neighbor and a man I looked up to. With his service to the town and the various organizations he gave his time to he reminded me of my father. I have wonderful memories of he and his Dalmatian dogs walking down the road with with their leash in their mouth. Dover's leash law said the dog had to be on leash. It didn't say the dog couldn't be the one holding it! He will be missed.

Dear Fran,
How lucky you were to have Bob as a partner for all the years
We remember Bob from church school years and on to adult hood. What a solid devoted person with a sense of what was really important in this life. We will miss and look forward to seeing him on the other side.

I always looked forward to Tuesday mornings, with Bob and his "feigned grumpiness" counting the money behind me in the Church's office. I've missed those Tuesdays since he retired as a counter, and now he will be missed every day. Rest well in God's arms, my friend.

Mrs. Whiting, Sue, Kathy, Allison and families: My deepest of condolences on the loss of your husband, father & grandfather. He was a great man who I know loved you all very VERY much. Someone with a wonderful sense of humor that was a pleasure to see for those he shared it with. I pray your grief is as short as possible and your memories of the wonderful times you all shared far outlast the pain of your loss. Our loved ones never truly leave us, they live on in the hearts of those they loved.
