Tom LaFlame Obituary

Today we say goodbye to one of the good ones. Tom LaFlame, 67, of first Nashua, now Hopkinton, N.H., passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at Concord Hospital.

Tom was born in Nashua, N.H., on Dec. 3, 1951, son of the late Richard and Teresa (Lemander) LaFlame. He leaves behind his brothers: Steve, Peter, John and Chris and his sister by choice Martha LaFlame; as well as various nieces and nephews.

He also leaves a huge hole in the heart of his wife and life-partner, Bonnie Six, her family and his friends.

Tom did not take the traditional path in life, yet he was highly influential in lives that he touched. A man of substance, of principle and a huge and caring heart; he gave gifts of himself in his humor and his actions.

The woodwork that he shared is a testament to his creativity, his tenacious attention to detail and his undying patience to make it perfect. He taught the rest of us to think outside of ourselves and to pay attention to everything and everyone around us.

Tom your life is cut far too short, we hope that your body is restored to your youth. You are loved.

SERVICES: A small memorial gathering will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover Street, in Manchester.

Accidentally just ran across this, and couldn't believe it was the Tommy Laflame I knew as a kid on Navaho Street. Growing up next door, he was the big brother I always wanted. As early as 1st grade during an incident on the school bus, he sat beside me & made sure I was going to be ok. A sweet, quiet & gentle guy who would turn up on occasion later in life - helped me with car problems when my dad was ill, and much later delivered a lamp to my back steps that my dad had made for his - just because he thought I would like it. I've never forgotten him or any of the Laflame Boys. . Rest easy now, my big brother. Cathy (Gallant) Arredondo NH

Hi Bonnie I am so very sorry to hear of Toms passing. Although I haven't seen you two since you moved from Nashua I often thought of Tom and all the motorcycle rides we took together. Meeting every Sunday morning at turnpike plaza parking lot and riding for hours all over the state. The time we rode up mt Washington and on the way down Tom stopped to let his brakes cool and I hit his bike and almost knocked it off the mountain! Even though I dented his gas tank he didn't get mad and we laughed for days. And one story I will never forget was when I was walking across Main st one day when I heard a voice in the air saying softly Dan, oh Dan . I about jumped out of my skin looking around thinking I was about to die when I saw Tom in his brown Camero holding his P.A. mic and laughing historically! I will never forget the great times pal.

I met Tom in 5th grade, Broad St School in Nashua, and we remained friends throughout high school, and although we hadn't seen one another or spoken in many many years, I thought of him from time to time. He was a sweet guy, and my mother loved him too. Sending heartfelt condolences to Tom's wife and family at this sad time. So sorry for your loss.

Bonnie, sometimes it just seems life is so unfair, and at times, can be downright cruel. This feels like one of those times. My heart has been heavy for you since I've heard the news. I am so, so very sorry at the loss of your beloved Tom. Please know that you are in my thoughts & prayers and if there is absolutely anything I can do, please let me know. I look forward to coming for a visit so I can give you a big hug! XO

Probably the most beautiful obituary I have ever seen. I'm so sorry I didn't get to meet Tom in his earthly form. I've heard countless wonderful stories about him from Chris, and last year we named a massive oak tree in our yard after Tom. Bonnie, we'll meet at the service, but I love you already. Your new sister, Mary
