Dear Alice, Kathy, Rich, Karl, and Ursula,
It will take me a long time to understand Wolfgang's death. My brain knows but my heart refuses to understand. He was my most important link to America, the country I love. No more phone conversa-
tions, hearing his perfect east-coast English language. He was one of the most pleasant cousins from childhood on. Together we saw the Americans walking and driving into our little village in April 1945, where Wolfgang, his mother and sister lived with us in our house. When I arrived in America in February 1957, the very next day we (his mother, my mother's sister)had to go to Worcester, Mass., to visit Wolfgang and to eat turkey. Rich was just a few weeks old. I held him in my arms. Wolfgang gave me good advice for my first job at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, Conn. When Helga and I visited you in little paradise (Hidden Valley 92),
you Alice, and Wolfgang, where perfect hosts. We felt at home. You are in our hearts and thoughts. We feel with you.

I love you so much Dad. Your loss has added a large hole in our hearts. We weren't ready for you to leave us so soon. It will be hard to be apart from you, but we know we will be together again one day. Thank you for loving us, and for all that you taught us through your love. It will be so hard not being able to talk to you face to face anymore, but without the use of technology, we will communicate through our thoughts and our hearts. Till we are together again. My arms will be waiting to wrap around you once more. Thank you for giving me life, and for loving me.
You daughter, Kathy
How do you say goodbye to the man you called Dad? I don't know how. I love you Dad, and you will always be close right here in my heart.

We never met in person, but we "talked" and laughed everyday.
I've really lost a good friend and will miss Bill greatly.

Bill was a wonderful man and a dear friend. We shared many years of adventures and laughter with him and Alice. He loved to laugh and he loved to "jerk your chain". He got things done and you always wanted him on your side. We will miss you Bill and we will be there for you Alice.
