URBANA - Cynthia Rhodes, 62, of Urbana, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born August 17, 1954 in Urbana, the daughter of Kenneth Owen and Nora Evelyn (Nichols) Baumgardner Sr. She was employed with Krugh Ins. as their office manager. Cindy was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #120. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. Cindy liked spending time in Casinos. She also enjoyed card club on Wednesdays with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jeron R. Rhodes; her daughters, Angela M. (Mark) Apple, Amy N. Westcott, and Shannon R. Rhodes (Phil Bean Jr.); her sons, Kyle A. (Nancy) Rhodes, Michael J. (Jessica) Rhodes, and Ryan C. (Cheryl) Rhodes; her 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Linda Baumgardner and Beth E. (Dale) Anderson; her brothers, Kenneth O (Cyndi Lou) Baumgardner Jr. and Carl R. (Marian) Baumgardner; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Darlene Rhodes, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law, Roger Rhodes; her grandson, Raymond Westcott; and her sisters-in-law, Karen Brown and Tondra Rhodes.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2016 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Terre Haute Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. Box 38125, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
