NEW BLOOMINGTON, Ohio – Dean Weaver, 87 of New Bloomington, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Dean was born on Feb. 7, 1938 in Jefferson County, Pa. to the late Elvin and Lorraine (Wylie) Weaver.
On Nov. 2, 1990, he married Shirley Kay (Miller) Weaver, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Bill Weaver, Amy (Kevin) Criswell and Andrew (Alexis) Weaver, and Holli Weaver; grandchildren, Bobbi Weaver, Elizabeth and Anna Criswell; many other loving family members.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Weaver and Jon Weaver; grandsons, JD Weaver and baby Kevin Criswell; siblings, baby Leona, Bill Weaver, Elaine (Skip) Vicklund and Joanne Weaver.
Dean joined the National Guard at the age of 16, eager to serve. He worked many jobs over the years, as a truck driver, welder, HVAC technician, forklift driver and grocer for Kroger. Dean was also a volunteer firefighter for many years. He was a kind and caring individual and served as a home and personal care provider to his sister-in-law Sandy "Sissy" Miller. Dean had a great sense of humor and everybody loved him. He loved fishing, camping and the outdoors. Above all he loved his family and was a proud father and loved spoiling his grandchildren. Dean was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to get to know and love him.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1 p.m. at JENNINGS FARLEY & SEELEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 5591 U.S. Hwy. 68 S., West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery following the service.

Loved when Dean & the family would come back to PA to camp along the river. He always treated me like I was part of the family too. Good times!
