Mrs. Zook was the one special teacher that I had in high school at South that kept me in school. She took a special interest in me knowing that I was at high risk to drop out even though I got really good grades. I was a teen Mom and lived on my own and worked also. She always encouraged me, talked about college, and my potential. I thought of her with both college degrees I obtained and always heard her encouragement when I struggled. I owe her so much! Thank you so much for sharing her with me, she definitely changed my life.

I never had Mrs. Zook as a teacher, but I did have many enjoyable encounters with her while at South. She was always pleasant and had a tremendous sense of humor. My condolences to the family she has left behind.

So sorry to hear of Lou's passing. We first met Jack and Lou when we were stationed together iat Offutt AFB in Nebraska in 1963 and we have kept in touch ever since. Such a fun person and always ready for a good laugh. We spent many good times together. I am sure she was a really fun teacher - that was her way and one just couldn't help but love her. She will be missed.

Jack, Erik, and Dan
There was only one Lou Zook. The teacher, wife, mother, sister, neighbor, clown, cook, hostess, friend that I knew will always be with me. She and Carol are now correcting heavenly grammatical errors.

To Mrs. Zook's family. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Mrs. Zook was my 12th grade College English teacher at North High School. I, along with many of my classmates adored her. She was such a fun-loving and caring teacher, one of my favorites. We had our own personal greeting and handshake! She was a blessing to all that knew her.
