URBANA - Phillip Knull, 70, of Rosewood, Ohio passed away April 18, 2016. Phil was gently carried into God's Kingdom and now sees his Savior face to face.
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, loved by many and respected by all, Phil was known for his exceptional work ethic, his commitment to helping others and his passionate love for his friends and especially his family.
Phil was a man of extraordinary integrity with the heart of a servant who found some of his greatest joy in teaching kids at Sunday school or pitching in when someone needed a helping hand.
Phil was a real man in every sense of the word and had a gentle way of living that drew others to him and will be desperately missed.
Phil's dying wish was that his life and death would point others to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Phil is survived by his loving wife Marilyn "Mitzi" (Jordan) Knull; his children, Brad Phillip (Cynthia) Knull of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Mindy Kay Knull (Derek) Kane of Marysville, Ohio, his four grandchildren, Violet, Carson, Dalton and Paisley; and his sister, Carol Nolte (Knull) of Urbana.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond (Debi) Knull and his sister, Patricia Ann (Gerald) Holland.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 in Grace Chapel Church, 500 Linden Street, West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the church with Pastor Jeff Mixon and Pastor Mike Eckstein officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Urbana.
In lieu of flowers contributions are respectfully requested to: Grace Chapel Church, 500 Linden Street, West Liberty, Ohio, 43357, or Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46, N. Detroit St. Suite B, Xenia, Ohio, 45385, or Cancer Association of Champaign County, PO Box 38125, Urbana, Ohio 43078.
