I worked with Mr. Ladd at the Champaign County Courthouse. He was always teasing me and making me laugh. I enjoyed working with him and missed him when he moved on. He also built the fireplace in my home when it was owned by the previous couple. I am so sorry for your loss...

Richard Ladd was a good, good man. He and I shared many moments and values together as he worked at the Champaign County Courthouse and other buildings. He shared some of his many talents with us, was always willing and cheerful. We would all do well to emulate him. I hope to get to meet with him again. Phil McCullough, fmr. Co. Commisioner
