Teresa Dozer Obituary

PATASKALA - Teresa Alane Dozer, 54, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Mechanicsburg, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in The Ohio State University Hospital.

Teresa was born March 10, 1967 in Marysville, Ohio the daughter of the late Kenneth E. "Duke" and Dorothy (Logan) Dozer as well as the sister to the late Timothy Alan Dozer.

When that day comes, and it surely will, Perhaps at sunrise, or evening, when it's still, I'll be going home. Where I hope to be met by all those I've known. I'll tell of the things I've seen on this earth, How lucky they were to have missed the worst. The world has gone mad And it makes me so sad For the ones that I've left Have to pick up the pieces and clear up the mess. We are told how to act, how to think, what to say, By people unseen living far far away. There's no-one to speak for the man on the street, No champion, no fighter, No hero to guide us. Will the youth with his football & arrogant gait, Learn the skills of our father's & shake off the hate? Will he waste his best years in an unreal blue haze, Crying crocodile tears at the world that he's made? Will his hand always be open for what he is owed?

'Till too late, he has travelled to far down that road. Did the soldier who fought for his country with pride, Get paid for the pain he still suffers inside? Did the man who protected our violated shores, In his hand expect payment for fighting our wars? Where is our England, our hope & our home? Will it rise like the phoenix, before third world & alone? Will that hero appear & create a new dawn, And a life without conflict for the one's that I've borne? Yes, I'll tell the one's that meet me, That they surely had the best, A time of hope & glory, Pride beating in their breast. But when your time comes, I'll leave the door ajar, Don't cry out or be frightened, I'll be watching from afar, Don't feel confused, worried or alone,

For I'll be there to meet you, That day that you come home.
