URBANA – Virginia M. (Thompson) Yoder, 68, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in her home.
Virginia was born May 9, 1953 in Urbana, Ohio the daughter of the late Bert and Iva (Fraley) Thompson. She was a member of the Life Net Fellowship Church, Urbana, Ohio where she loved listening to Pastor Chris Livingston's sermons. Virginia enjoyed feeding the squirrels and watching and feeding the birds, especially the cardinals and blue jays. She also enjoyed listening to country and gospel music. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family including family game nights, watching the grandchildren grow up and attending granddaughter, Tori's, softball practices and games.
Virginia is survived by her children, Tamera Yoder and Tonya (Russell) Dappert; grandchildren, Deana, Levi and Tori Dappert; great-granddaughter on the way, Kinley Rose McClurg; siblings, Charles (Mary) Thompson, Nancy West and Arlen Matney; 16 nieces and nephews and her new doggie Twixie and her grandcat, Frost Frost.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlen Yoder; brother, Carl (Patricia "Pud") Thompson and brothers-in-law, David West and Rodger Matney.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio with Paster Justin Raines officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual, Ohio.
