I remember waking up mom and dad crying when I was 7 or 8 because I had heard so many stories of Mim and how awesome she was and I had not been old enough to remember her when I was an infant and was worried I would never get to meet my fireball grandmother living up North. I was thrilled when a few years later I learned she was moving down to stay with us and I was not disappointed. I loved Mim and am very fortunate to have gotten to know her and have her in my life. Mim was an exceptional role model for how to live a pure and virtuous life. She was blessed with a long life in a time in history where she saw more change in technology and society than most. The world was a much different place when she entered than when she left but she left a lot of people that love her and will always remember how amazing she was.

Thank you Mim for all the love and guidance and being a constant in our lives. You will always be in our hearts.

I think of my grandmother, Memere every day. I feel happy every time I see a picture of her. Her smile was radiant, her voice so sweet - she could light up a room by just walking in. She was a huge inspiration to me. She was a second mother to my brother Ken and I, and I have so many wonderful memories of her. We were so blessed to have her in our lives when we were growing up. She was always there for us. She loved us with all her heart and we knew it. She loved being a grandmother ! She would have given the world to us if she could - and in a way she did because she meant the world to us. I will always cherish the good times we shared with her. She took us swimming, to the park, to friends' houses, to school and many more places that we wanted or needed to go. I love her for giving me all these special memories. She was our rock - and for me, she still is because she lives on in me - everyday giving me encouragement to be like her and to live a good life.

I love you, Mim ! I know you are smiling down at me now - in all your glory and wisdom - You will be forever in my thoughts.

My Mim helped raised me and my younger sister. She was the warmest and strongest person I've ever known.

When I was a little kid, she was the best person ever to lean against when I was sick, and I would lean against her on the couch as we watched day-time TV to take my mind off my aches and pains and other symptoms.

She was calm and patient in those times. (Lord knows she wasn't always! She could be a fireball!)

And she'd always buy my a pack of soft lemon cookies because I wanted them when I was sick.

Just one memory. I could write a book.

Rest in Peace, Mim. I love you.

Mother
My mom was an amazing and awesome woman.

There are many things for which she will be remembered, but what we will never forget is her dedication to God and her family.

There wasn't much that she couldn't do once she set her mind to it. Wallpaper, paint, garden, knit, crochet, run, cook, bake, tend to the young, and care for the old. The list goes on and on.

Mom had a full time job, but was always there for us when the need arose.

She had a contagious smile and a joy for life. She lived a long and rich life, but had the strength to weather the storms.

She would not want us to grieve for her, but to rejoice in her life, well lived. She had no regrets.

"Mom has gone home, guided by her faith and by the light of those she has loved and lost". Happy journey Mom. May you rest in peace.
