Danielle Hudon Obituary
Indian Hills, CO/Barneveld, NY
Danielle Lynn Hudon, 27, passed away unexpectedly on August 23, 2009. She was born November 12, 1981, in Utica, the daughter of Dan Hudon and Bambi Finnegan. Danielle graduated from the University of Colorado and worked as a paralegal for a large law firm in Denver, Colorado. She loved music, the outdoors, her dog Stella, and her family. Her passions also included cooking and hosting get togethers for friends for NFL football games. Danielle was a very independent, educated, and free spirit that will be missed by all. Danielle is survived by her parents and step parents, Dan and Jodi Hudon, of Remsen, and Bambi and Roger Finnegan, of West Palm Beach, Florida; her only sibling, a sister, Nichole Hudon, of Remsen; grandparents, Dan and Wilma Hudon, of Remsen, and Norm and Sandra Hoff, of Brantingham Lake; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in the Remsen and Barneveld area. Danielle was blessed with a big family that loved her and she will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Rescue Mission, 212 Rutger Street, Utica, NY 13501, in Danielles memory. A private memorial service will be held in memory of Danielle.

When I heard the news of Danielle's passing, my heart ached for her and what your family must be going through. My deepest sympathies go out to you all at this time. I knew Danielle from elementary school. Only for a short time before we moved to Florida. In those few years that I did know her, she left an impression. When I first met her it was 4th grade, Mrs Ossants class at Holland Patent Elementary. She wore her hair in a pony tail to the side of her head and the fact that she had braces never kept her from smiling. That is the image that sticks with me. Even though we ran with much different crowds, I wish I had gotten to know her better and longer. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and Danielle. She must be smiling down to all of those she touched in her life. I will think of her often hoping she is peaceful and that someday we will meet again. Until then Danielle....

She was so Happy all the time and friendly, she was one of those people who leaves you with such a wonderful feeling. I do miss her each and every day. I remember walking on the beach with Danielle at night after Bambi & Dad got married in West Palm. We had just come from the patio/bar area of the hotel where we all were staying. A few minutes earlier I got to exercise my newly appointed brother duties by asking a rather intoxicated male to stop hitting on her -at her request of course. But needless to say I found it rather fun. She was still in her bridesmaids dress and I, as best man, still in my attire. She was walking behind me and I heard her say, "hey bro, I've never swam in the ocean at night!" I turned around to watch her jump head first into the ocean, dress and all. So, naturally I did what anyone else would do and jumped in too. We floated for a while and looked up at the stars as waves rolled by. Later we walked through the hotel lobby in drenched wedding cloths laughing hysterically at the river of water splashing the floor with each scurried step - then laughing harder when we realized the hotel staff was watching unamuzed. When I got the call from Dad about what happened, that memory was the first thing that ran through my mind. She was a fantastic person who didn't deserve this. I love you Danielle and will miss you always. -Your Brother.

Hudon Family,
My senior year of college, Joe Dawson lived with me and my roommates. We all had a dream to move to Colorado and begin our lives. It is a place of natural beauty, good people, and music. I met Danielle a few years ago and always thought she was a beautiful free spirit and that they both were lucky to have eachother in their lives. I never thought something like this could happen. It came from a dark, scary, and sad place that I don't think any of us will ever understand. I am deeply sorry for your loss and wanted you to know that the people who knew her, as she was, in Colorado, will never forget her smile, her laughter, or her life.
