Dave was a good man and a kind and caring person. He would give you the shirt off of his back. There aren’t many guys like him around that would do for others unconditionally. May he rest in peace.

Dave was a good man, who cared about others and was always willing to lend a hand. I had the fortune of knowing him until I moved from NY in 1999. He was a true inspiration, and helped me change the way in which I lived, adopting a healthy lifestyle. Our community has lost a special person. I still talk to others about his influence on my life (again today). God bless Donna and the girls.

I had the honor of working with Dave when I was a resident at upstate. He was an amazing nurse and a great teacher. I know many of my fellow anesthesia residents felt the same. We always felt a little safer when Dave was around, he had our back and most importantly had the patients best interest in mind always. I will always remember him, and how he spoke with such love of his wife and his girls. The upstate family lost a great member of their team He will be sadly missed but warmly remembered. I am so sorry for your loss.

The world has lost a truely great man, an amazing nurse, and most importantly a dedicated, and loving father. I remember like it was yesterday July of 98 sitting in nursing orientation with Dave and Donna. I remember working with Dave at faxton, hanging out at the finger bullet and all the bench press competitions we attended. More recently I was speaking to Dave in the hallway, he was glowing as he spoke about his girls, how he loved watching them grow, and become their own little ladies. He spoke about how special they were to him, and how great his life had turned out . I know from the years of being friends with Dave that his family ALWAYS came first. Despite his strong build, deep rough voice, he was a big softy, and I always told him I could see through his front. Dave I cherish the memories we shared, deep talks about nursing, and not so deep talks about life and the "joys" of nursing. I'll never forget u buddy, and to Donna and the kids, if there is ever any thing Big or small Ican do to help you guys out, please don't hesitate to call. I hope that time eases your pain, be assured Dave is watching out for you guys.

I've been honored to known you and Dave for severely years now; the large proportion of conversations that Dave and I have had always circled around the love for his family. Dave was such a great guy and it's so sad he is gone. I was a two years below Dave at Westmoreland and was lucky enough to be on the football team with him. Although his entire class of 89 were great athletes and decent guys, it was Ox who was always cool to the younger guys. He was helpful to us and always decent to talk to. When I was out of school I ran into him at Brookside Athletic Club and he was obviously the focus of everyone in the room. He still took the time to walk over and say hello, making helpful suggestions. He was too young to go. God bless you and your family Dave.
