Ormond Inman Obituary
SYLVAN BEACH - Ormond B. Inman "Brad" went to his home with the Lord on June 1, 2021.
He was born in Utica, to Harold and Dorothy on June 20, 1936. Brad was the youngest of five children. On July 27, 1957, Brad married the love of his life, Marian Paine. They enjoyed a marriage of 63 years, until her passing on June 2, 2020. Brad was a member of the Army National Guard, Utica. His unit was activated in 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis, at which time he was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. They lived most of their married life in Yorkville, until moving to Sylvan Beach in 1998. Brad worked for the NYS Department of Transportation for 33 years, retiring in June of 1994.
Following his retirement, he spent most of his time helping to care for his daughter, Colleen, who was injured in an automobile accident in 1989.
Brad enjoyed the simpler things in life. First and foremost, his family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and teaching others how to respect our natural resources.
Brad is survived by his children, Betty (Kevin) Bridge, Apalachin, NY, Robert (Lisa) Inman, Sarasota, FL and Bradley (Lois) Inman, Sylvan Beach; his grandchildren, Jacob (Tracey) Bridge, Matthew Bridge, Emily Inman, Caroline Inman, Ashley Lightenfield, Bradley (Brittany Marie) Inman, Brittany Inman, Branndon Inman and Bryan Inman; and his great-grandchildren, Samantha Bridge, Joshua Bridge, Mercedeze Lightenfield and Amelia Brielle Inman. He was predeceased by his wife, Marian; daughter, Colleen; brother, Myles (Dorothy) Sinnott; sisters, Beverly Sinnott, Alice (Gaylord) Brandes and Constance (Charles) Alderwick. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on June 7, 2021, at the Point Rock Methodist Church Cemetery, 10698 Sulphur Springs Road, Taberg, at 1:30 p.m., with Reverend Matthew Vincent, officiating. There are no calling hours.

Ormond was to me a true definition of the word Patriarch. i’ve known him almost my entire life. we’ve lived across the street from one another for my whole life, at home in Utica and at camp in Sylvan Beach. he was a staple in my life. a neighbor you could absolutely depend on, in need or otherwise. he was always there, with tool in hand or the wisdom to advise. i’ve grown to love his family as though they were my own. he will be greatly missed. my thoughts of him stand as high as any top memories could. he will never be forgotten. may he RIP and now be reunited with his lovely wife, daughter and family. God bless his sole. love you forever Ormond❤
